At Lightning Cube Software, we also do custom development in the area of computer vision applications. In particular, we have been involved in developing solutions for automated visual surveillance, motion detection and object tracking, automatic barcode recognition, and visual quality inspection solutions.

Over the past few years, we have developed several custom motion detection and object tracking applications for both indoor and outdoor visual surveillance scenarios. These include a traffic analysis system (a demo of which is shown on the right) that tracks cars in a multi-lane situation and computes basic traffic flow statistics as well as detecting congestion situations. Another application is used for automatic perimiter surveillance situations, triggering an alarm whenever an intrusion occurs. Our applications can be used in a wide range of environments, can work with single or multi-camera systems and require minimal configuration and camera calibration.
