Barcode Reader
Barcode Reader is a custom solution developed by Lightning Cube Software for one of our clients. Barcode Reader automatically detects barcodes in images acquired from a camera, decodes and verifies their values.

Barcode Reader is able to:
automatically detect and recognise various barcode specifications, e.g. EAN13, UPC-A, ISBN, etc.
detect and verify barcodes at a high frame-rate
does not require any special type of cameras or any camera calibration
is robust to detecting barcodes that are viewed at an angle or obliquely
the barcodes do not need to be placed at a particular position in the acquired images or have a particular scale
is able to detect and verify barcodes that appear wrinkled or creased (such as barcodes printed on plastic or paper packaging)
Barcode Reader can identify and recognise any of these barcode specifications:

So far Barcode Reader supports only linear type barcodes; support for 2D barcodes (such as Aztec Code and DataMatrix 2D) will be added in the near future.
